Kids Who Care is a very special group counseling program for
children who have family members experiencing serious, chronic
or life-threatening illnesses.
With sensitive assistance by a therapist, the children are allowed
to express and explore feelings and thoughts - their fears,
trials, beliefs, hopes, achievements - related to their living
with someone close to them whose longevity and/or quality of
life is seriously threatened or impaired.
Parents pay a $5 fee for their child's participation in Kids
Who Care; families who cannot afford to pay are permitted to
send their children without cost. |
